Explore the estancia
Las Loicas

Estancia Las Loicas is a privately owned farm located where the forest, the steppe, and the Atlantic Ocean come together. Around 85% of our land is untouched native forest, a landscape we protect but also love to explore.
In the lower part of the property you will find accommodations, the garden and the area we shre with animals: the horses, sheep and the chickens.
From the moment our family arrived here, we felt it, this is a place to grow something meaningful. For ourselves, for our daughter, and for those we welcome here.

Las Loicas; where ocean, forest, and steppe meet

Estancia Las Loicas is a privately owned farm on 70 hectares of southern Patagonian land, where the forest, the steppe, and the Atlantic Ocean come together. Around 60 hectares is wild native woodland, our Adventure Forest, a place we protect, explore, and gently let breathe. On the lower part of our terrain we have our accommodations, the garden and we share this part with our animals, the horses, sheep and the chickens.

Reconnecting at the Estancia

Modern life keeps us busy, but it rarely gives us the space to properly slow down, reconnect and be present with the people around us. At the estancia, life naturally moves at a different rhythm. Days are shaped by the weather, the animals, the ocean and the landscape around us. People spend more time outside, around the fire, at the table together or simply walking through nature without rushing anywhere.

Tierra del Fuego where nature still leads

Tierra del Fuego is Argentina’s southernmost province, the far edge of Patagonia and the gateway to Antarctica. Separated from the South American mainland by the Strait of Magellan, the island is shared between Argentina and Chile and still feels incredibly remote in many places.

Stay for a while at
Las Loicas

At Las Loicas we welcome only a limited number of guests at a time, allowing every stay to feel personal and connected to life at the estancia. Las Loicas is not a traditional hotel or a place with independent cabin rentals. This is our home and the place where we live our daily lives together with our family and team. Because of that, all stays are based on a fully hosted experience.  This includes accommodation, shared meals and one guided activity per full day, always adapted to the weather, the season and the interests of our guests.

Captain’s Cabin

The Captain’s Cabin is inspired by the atmosphere of a traditional ship’s cabin.

Everything is designed within one open space, much like aboard a ship, where every corner has its purpose. The cabin has one double bed and two single beds, making it suitable for couples, families or small groups of up to four guests.

The cabin includes a private kitchen, a spacious bathroom and its own entrance. Books, photographs and maritime details give the cabin its character.

El Nido

El Nido can host up to five guests and has two separate bedrooms.

The cabin includes a private bathroom, a mini-kitchen and windows looking out over the surrounding landscape, where horses and sheep often pass by during the day.

Like everything at Las Loicas, El Nido is designed to feel warm and comfortable, while staying closely connected to the nature around it.

Guestroom

For guests who prefer a more personal estancia experience, we also offer a guestroom inside our main house.

Staying here means sharing more of the daily rhythm of Las Loicas, breakfasts, conversations and evenings around the fire.

The room has two beds and is simple and comfortable, ideal for travelers who enjoy a more informal atmosphere.

Go on adventure
in Tierra del fuego

Las Loicas is more than just our estancia. For us, it is also a starting point to discover Tierra del Fuego and Patagonia in a slower and more personal way.

Over the years we have come to know many special places and people across the island, and we love helping guests shape a journey that feels connected to the landscapes and the local way of life. Sometimes that means staying a few quiet days at the estancia, other times it means combining Las Loicas with other remote places or unique local experiences.

Adventure forest

More than 85% of Estancia Las Loicas is covered by native forest. Most of it consists of ñire trees, while some areas are home to impressive lenga trees, many of them more than a century old.
Our forest is wild and untamed. As you walk through it, you will notice barba de viejo hanging from the branches. This lichen only thrives where the air is exceptionally clean, making it a natural indicator of the purity of this environment.

Las Noches del Loica

Intimate heartfelt gatherings where food and music come together
At Las Loicas we enjoy bringing people together around food, music and the fire. Sometimes these are quiet evenings, other times long Sunday afternoons inspired by the traditional Argentine día de campo, where people gather to eat, listen to music and spend time together.

Food experience

Food is an important part of life at Las Loicas. Not in a formal way, but in the simple experience of gathering around the table, cooking together and sharing good food after a day outside.
